Songs like these have been such and encouragement to me through all the years I’ve listened to them and have continued to be over the last several months as I’ve been being treated for cancer. Yes, there are many things that are difficult and I don’t know how everything is going to work out, but I know that God is working out something great through it.
I was just going through the motions, tempted to give into the lies of apathy altogether. The spiritual doldrums had plagued me for weeks, and now I was setting up camp in the night season of the soul. Why look for the light, when the darkness was so thickly encasing me? "Jesus, I need You." I prayed weakly.

Gabe Peters was confident in the path he was taking. Twice, that path was redirected. A sports injury and a brain tumor took him down paths he had not planned on. Through it all, God was calling out to Gabe. To a real relationship and the desire to bring glory to God instead of himself.
Luke experienced a tangible picture of the body of Christ coming around him in his time of need. “I felt the love and deep care from people in a real way that is so easy to brush aside during casual Sunday morning chit-chats. It was an incredible feeling to know I had such a large prayer team to come around and support me. I just knew everything would be alright.”
God is in the process of doing an exceptional work in the lives of His children. He’s working to conform them into the image of His son, Jesus. God used a run down, abandoned demolition site to give Terry a glimpse of the work that He was faithfully doing in her life. But this isn’t just a picture for Terry, it’s for you too, if you are a child of God.
