Why storytelling?

The people of God are drawn to worship when they remember and rehearse the works of God. The gospel is the narrative of how we relate to God. If our identity is in the body of Christ, then the Gospel is our story. God works in our lives through the power of the gospel to shape us and spread “the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere” (2 Cor. 2:14) It is true that we so easily forget the incredible ways in which God works in such specific ways. At Four Oaks, we want to be faithful to rehearse the many incredible testimonies of how God continues to work mightily in the lives of the people within our church. We believe people will be drawn to worship God when we’re faithful to tell the stories of his wonderful work in us.

Meet Our Story Team

We are a team of writers, editors, photographers, videographers, web designers, and musicians at Four Oaks Church Killearn who want to see the name of Christ lifted up through the stories of people in our church. Our Story Team desires to highlight the many ways that the Gospel is transforming us. We desire to steward the stories of God at work among us in creative ways so that the people of God would be drawn to worship.
